Kir Impérial (French)

A variant of the classic Kir Royale, if you use Chambord, a French black raspberry liqueur, then it’s called a Kir Impérial or French Kir Royale or Chambord Kir Royale.

1 oz crème de cassis (30 mL)
5 oz Chambord, chilled (150 mL)

Pour creme de cassis into a Champagne flute. Top slowly with sparkling wine (best to pour down the side of the glass for less intense foam).

Makes 1 drink.
