Doughboys (Newfoundland)
Traditionally these dumplings are served with soups and stews.
1½ cups all-purpose flour, unbleached
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. sea salt
2 Tbsp. butter
½ cup milk
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter and stir until combined thoroughly. Add milk.
Drop by heaping Tbsp. into soup or stew.
Cook uncovered for 10 minutes, then cover and continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
