All-Purpose Spice Rub
Truly a rub that can be used on any meat, poultry or seafood.
⅓ cup sea salt
¼ cup light-brown sugar
¼ cup paprika
2 Tbsp. black pepper, freshly cracked
2 Tbsp. dried oregano
2 Tbsp. dried thyme leaves
1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients, using your hands to break up the sugar.
Makes 1¼ cups (enough to season 5-10 lb of meat, poultry, or seafood).
