Parmesan Cheese Toasts
Crispy, golden Parmesan bread toasted to golden perfection that makes a great alternative to garlic bread.
12 (¼") thick baguette slices, cut on the diagonal to make large slices
1 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, freshly grated
⅓ cup Hellmanns mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp. garlic, minced
⅛ tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C/180°C fan, Gas Mark 6).
Spread the bread on a baking sheet. Mix the cheese, mayonnaise, parsley, garlic and cayenne in a small bowl. Spread a heaping Tbsp. of the cheese mixture onto each slice of bread.
Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 6-8 minutes. Serve hot.
Makes 12 toasts.
