Baked Brie with Grapes and Honey
This Baked Brie appetizer may seem sophisticated but it is seriously simple to make. Sure to impress your guests, this Baked Brie is soft and creamy, the roasted grapes give a burst of sweetness from the drizzled honey.
1 lb red or black seedless grapes, washed (500 g)
1 Tbsp. olive oil
½ tsp. fine sea salt
¼ tsp. black pepper, freshly cracked
1 (12 oz) wheel Brie cheese (340 g)
1 Tbsp. pure honey
pinch flaked sea salt
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C/200°C fan, Gas Mark 7).
Wash and pat dry the grapes. You can leave them on the stem or take them off. Toss grapes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place grapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Transfer to the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes until the grapes burst and lose their juices. Watch carefully to make sure the juices don't burn. Remove from oven and set aside.
Place the brie wheel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the oven for 5-10 minutes until soft to the touch. Carefully transfer the brie onto a serving plater.
Top the brie with the roasted grapes and their juices. Drizzle the grapes with honey and a pinch of flaked sea salt.
Serve with water crackers or toasted french bread slices.
