Brownies (Triple Chocolate Fudgy)
Brownies made decadent with three types of chocolate.
10 oz bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (300 g)
⅔ cup butter (150 mL)
¾ cup sugar (175 mL)
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract (5 mL)
3 large eggs
½ cup all-purpose flour, unbleached (125 mL)
½ tsp. sea salt (2 mL)
3 oz white chocolate chips or chunks (90 g)
3 oz milk chocolate chunks (90 g)
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C/140°C fan, Gas Mark 3). Grease and line an 8” pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl resting over a pot of barely simmering water, melt chocolate and butter, stirring gently.
Remove from heat and stir in sugar and vanilla.
Stir in eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour and sea salt. Fold in white and milk chocolate chips.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a tester inserted in the centre of the brownies comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
