Apple Mustard Cream Sauce
This easy, elegant sauce is the perfect accompaniment to cuts of pork, such as Pan-Seared Thick-Cut, Bone-In Pork Chops. Using two types of mustard here was crucial: Whole grain added texture, while Dijon contributed a spicy kick. Applesauce nodded to the classic pairing of pork and apples and tempered the mustards' bite with a touch of sweetness.
¼ cup whole grain mustard
3 Tbsp. unsweetened applesauce
2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
4 tsp. apple cider vinegar, such as Braggs
1 Tbsp. pure honey
1 Tbsp. fresh chives, minced
¼ tsp. sea salt
Stir all ingredients in bowl until combined.
Makes ½ cup.
