Smoked Oyster Pâté
This smoked oyster pâté is so easy to make. All you need is a can of smoked oysters and a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry and refrigerator. This smoked oyster pâté is a great make-ahead appetizer for a cocktail or dinner party. It's easy to throw together too. Along with canned smoked oysters, all you need is some cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (I used Tapatío), garlic, scallions, parsley, salt and pepper. Serve this oyster pâté on freshly sliced or toasted baguette slices for an appetizer. Your guests will devour it. Even your oyster haters might just like this dish.
8 oz cream cheese
3 Tbsp. milk
4 Tbsp. green onions, finely chopped
3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. hot sauce, such as Tapatío or Tabasco
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
1 (4 oz) can smoked oysters, drained and chopped
sea salt
black pepper, freshly ground
1 baguette, thinly sliced and toasted
Mix the all of the ingredients together in a small bowl until well blended. Adjust the hot sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve with toasted baguette slices.
