Crêpes
Crêpes are an extremely thin type of pancake made out of wheat flour. They came from the Brittany region of northwestern France. Crêpes are considered to be the French national dish, though they are popular in many other countries around the world as well. They are often served with fruits (especially bananas and berries), syrup, whipped cream or lemon cream.
Crêpes are prepared by pouring a liquid batter into a frying pan, usually with a small amount of butter on the surface of the pan. Then the batter is smoothly spread over the pan's surface, usually by distributing the batter with the use of a spatula. The batter can also be spread by gently tilting the pan.
